Private Tuition Policies

Online lessons

• All lessons will take place on Zoom, a secure and password-protected platform, to ensure safe access for students.

• Students will join each lesson using a unique meeting ID and passcode, which will be provided before the first scheduled lesson.

• Students are strongly encouraged to attend each lesson equipped with a tablet, stylus and headphones featuring a built‑in microphone to ensure full participation.

• Cameras and microphones are encouraged to support engagement and interaction. However, students may choose to keep their cameras off if they prefer.

• Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons.

Behaviour and Conduct

All participants are expected to maintain respectful behaviour at all times. Any inappropriate conduct will be addressed promptly, with parents notified of the situation. In cases of serious or repeated misconduct, the student will be withdrawn from the class. Please note that tuition fees are non‑refundable in such circumstances.

Lateness

If a student arrives late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled time. No additional time will be provided.

Scheduling

• Once a timeslot is chosen, your child will need to commit to that timeslot for the rest of the month. We ask parents to review the schedule carefully before booking, as consistent attendance is strongly recommended to ensure your child gains the full benefit of the lessons.

• Requests to change timeslots will only be considered at the start of a new month and are subject to availability.

Adverse Weather Arrangements

All lessons will continue as scheduled in the event of adverse weather conditions in Hong Kong.

Payment

Full payment of the tuition fees for one month is required before the first scheduled lesson (as given by the due date in the respective invoice). This advance payment guarantees that your child's timeslot is reserved.

Cancellation and refund

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours are non-refundable, except in cases of illness supported by a valid doctor’s note dated the day of the lesson.​

• In the event that I must cancel a scheduled lesson for any reason, the full payment for that lesson will be refunded.

Privacy and Data Protection

• We only collect information necessary to provide lessons, including:

  • Student name and year group

  • Student email address

  • Parent name

  • Parent contact details (email and/or phone number)

• Personal information is treated as strictly confidential and is never disclosed to third parties.

• If lessons are recorded, these recordings are stored securely and used solely for educational purposes, such as review and quality assurance.

• Parents retain full rights over their child's information and can request access to, or deletion of, personal data at any time.
